The department of Visual Design (Major in Industrial Graphic) focuses on knowledge of art, science and technology. The department nurtures professional 2D, 3D graphic content designers and manufacturers that are not only demanded in major high value, high tech digital industrial design areas, but also possess future-orientated creativity, associated in-site skills, flexible characters and communication skills.
Characteristic of department
The Major in Industrial Graphic is a future-orientated, sustainable and new design major that has incorporated the 3D CAD, 3D Modeling and professional printing technologies (which are required in today’s new high-tech industrial fields as associated areas) with the visual/multi-media design (which has a very high usage rate in the industrial design area). With the composition of the industrial society constantly changing due to the development of scientific technology, it is impossible to avoid changes and merges in the traditional technology areas to reach maximum efficiency. Following this context, Industrial Graphic major is a comprehensive 2D, 3D integrated design area that not only includes all aspects of visual design, but also nurtures associated designers that will set new standards in the industrial designer world.
